PURPOSE:To reduce the frequency band with increased minimum phase inverting distance, and to increase the data transmission density and data recording density, by converting a digital data into a 8-bit code in the unit of 3-bit data word, and converting this code with the NRZI code. CONSTITUTION:First, the digital data is converted into the 8-bit code in the unit of 3-bit data word. The combination of 9 kinds of codes is modulated with the NRZI and transmitted. That is, the codes of 9 kinds are corresponded to the 3- bit data word. In this case, depending on the combination of the codes, there are cases against the conversion rules. That is, two bits of ''0'' bits exist between P18 and P23 (refer to Fig.). Then, as shown in Figs. b, c, P18 and P23 are taken as ''0'', P22 is as ''1'', the consecution of codes in matching with the conversion rules is obtained. |
