<p>PURPOSE:To reduce energy by supplying residues of methane fermentation to an evaporating and drying tank provided with a conductive heating body to allow water to evaporate, compressing the generated steam and using the heat energy thereof as a heating source for the conductive heating body. CONSTITUTION:Sludge 11 is supplied into an evaporating and drying tank 13 provided with an optional conductive heating body 12 such as a rotary drum directly or through a heat exchanger 33, and is brought into contact with the heating surface to be supplied with steam, whereby the water in the sludge 11 is evaporated. The steam generated in the tank 13 is discharged through a pipe 17, and is increased in pressure and temp. by a steam compressor 18 such as a turbo compressor to heated steam 19 which is then supplied to the inside part of the rotary drum of the body 12 and is usd as a heating source for the body 12, thus the steam is utilized again for the evaporation of the water in the sludge 11. It is important that said tank 13 is hermetically sealable, is provided with the body 12 and has a transfer mechanism for dry solids 14.</p> |
