PURPOSE:To destaticize a sheet member satisfactorily, and also to store it without disordering it, by moving a sheet destaticizing member between an adjacent position and a remote position in accordance with detection of a sheet member detecting means. CONSTITUTION:A solenoid 51e turns a pin switching pawl 33e, opens a path to a pin 31e to move a destaticizing member 60e. In the vicinity of a feed-in port 67e to the pin 31e, a destaticizing device is provided. The destaticizing member 60e is fixed and provided onto a moving lever 61e, and this moving lever 61e is made freely turnable on a supporting shaft 62e. The destaticizing member 60e is capable of moving between an adjacent position (full line) for destaticizing a transfer material which is inserted from the feed-in port 67e, and a remote position (dotted line). In the vicinity of a sheet inlet, a means for detecting a sheet member is provided to move this destaticizing means in accordance with the detection means. |
