PURPOSE:To obtain a device which allows a single keyboard device to be used for many purposes and changes desired operation easily and economically by providing a keyboard cover for covering keys other than prescribed keys on the keyboard, etc. CONSTITUTION:The keyboard cover for covering keys other than prescribed keys on the keyboard is provided to allow only the prescribed keys to be operated on the keyboard. For example, a cover 15 which allows only the prescribed keys to be operated is coupled with the keyboard 12 of a keyboard device 10 and an identification code ID from the code plate 19 of the cover 15 is inputted to and discriminated by the signal generating circuit 14 of the keyboard device 10. This signal is inputted through a coupling circuit 17 to a read-only storage device ROM16 to read a program for desired operation according to a prescribed key, thus generating an output signal corresponding to the prescribed key. |
