PURPOSE:To produce high chromium alloy pig iron with high efficiency by providing chromium ore packed layers on coke packed layers in the central part of a furnace body, blowing fuel, oxygen, chromium ore and auxiliaries through tuyeres into the coke packed layers and burning these materials. CONSTITUTION:Coke packed layer (b) are provided in the central part in a furnace body 1, and chromium ore packed layers (a) consisting of chromium ore 7, auxiliary raw materials 13 and coke 8 are formed thereon. A combustion chamber (e) is provided in the lower circumferential part of the layers (b), and oxygen 9, fuel 10, chromium ore powder 15, auxiliaries 16, and if necessary, steam 11 are blown through tuyeres 4. In the chamber (e), the fuel 10 consisting essentially of carbon and hydrogen is burned and gasified by the oxygen 9, whereby reducing gases of high temp. are formed. The gases heat and reduce the chromium ore, and the auxiliaries 16; at the same time, the gases ascend in the voids among the layers (b) and heat and reduce the melting parts (a); thereafter, the gases flow down into a molten slag layer (c) and a well (d). |
