PURPOSE:To realize the recording/reproducing with high fidelity, by giving an automatic control to the level of a recording signal with the output of comparison after comparing the reproduced signal of the 1st reference signal with the level of the 2nd reference signal and assuring an accurate control to each magnetic tape. CONSTITUTION:The reference of the 1st reference signal producing circuit 2 is processed by an encoder 5 and then recorded to a magnetic tape 9 via a control circuit 6, a recording amplifying circuit and a magnetic head 8. The recording signal is delivered via a magnetic head 10, a reproducing amplifier 11, a decoder 12 and an amplifier 13. On the other hand, the output of the decoder 12 is supplied to a comparing circuit 15 and compared with the 2nd reference supplied from the 2nd reference signal producing circuit 16. The circuit 15 gives an automatic control to the circuit 6 so that the 1st reference signal is set at a prescribed level indicated by the 2nd reference signal. At the same time, the 1st reference signal reaches the circuit after the 2nd reference signal with a delay equivalent to the time during which the tape 9 travels between the heads 8 and 10. Thus the recording signal is never controlled to a wrong level. |
