PRINTED BOARD INSPECTING APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To achieve an automatically continuous performance inspection of a plurality of printed circuit boards containing different types of printed circuit boards by executing the inspection based on a determined inspection program corresponding to the identified type of the boards to be inspected. CONSTITUTION:Identifying sections 6A-6C provided on a board to be inspected are connected to an identification interface circuit 8 with an identification bus 7 through a connector CN. This circuit 8 is connected to a control section 1. The connection between input terminals D1-D4 and decoders 25A-25C are so arranged to be different corresponding to the type of the boards being inspected that output terminals 23A-23C of the identifying sections 6A-6C are connected to respective selectors 29 of the circuit 8 with the identification bus 7 through the connector CN. The sectors 29 are connected to a receiving section 30. The control section 1 is provided in relation with a memory device 33 and a microprocessor 34 and an inspection program determined corresponding to the type of the boards being inspected is stored in the memory device 33.
