PURPOSE:To make an ultrahigh speed scan while eliminating the influence of a noise by arranging a scintillator which is in a curved shape and has an added light guide function at the circumference of a sample and detecting it through a photodetector. CONSTITUTION:An X-ray detection part 41 in used is formed by filling a glass hollow pipe with a liquid scintillator. The refractive index of the glass is made less than that of the liquid scintillator to add the light guide function. Once X rays enter the X-ray detection part 41, the liquid scintillator emits light, part of which travels in the X-ray detection part by optical confinement. The X-ray detection part, however, is curved, so the propatating light is converted into outward radiation light, which is all emitted out eventually. This radiation light is collected by photodetectors 43-1-43-8 and inputted to a summing circuit 49, where it is processed as an electric signal. |
