PURPOSE:To attain picture quality control without a special circuit, by controlling the picture quality of a video signal based on data relating to S/N included with minority in video information (vertical synchronizing signal front edge) after A-D conversion. CONSTITUTION:An operation circuit 9' placed in a ghost eliminator 2 is provided with a function detecting the magnitude of S/N, and a DC voltage is generated from an output terminal of a microcomputer used in the circuit 9' in response to the S/N. The flat part of the vertical synchronizing signal front edge is used for the detection of S/N. The DC voltage is applied to a picture quality control circuit 31 in a video signal processing amplifier circuit 3 to control the picture quality in response to the difference between adjacent sampling points. |
