A rapid-action locking device for attaching workpieces, or especially workpieces fastened to a pallet 1, to a rotatable table 3 and especially for automatically attaching the workpiece or the pallet to the said table. The rapid-action locking device incorporates at least one mechanical lever member 2, which is fastened pivotably to the table 3 and which has been arranged to press the pallet 1 or the workpiece against the attachment surface of the table 3 and such that the said lever member 2 is subjected to a continuous spring force in order to realize the said pressing function of the lever member 2, which spring force is multiplied by the said lever member as a force pressing against the attachment surface, further to which a member 12 has been arranged for releasing the lever member 2 from the pallet 1 or the workpiece. <IMAGE>
