PURPOSE:To obtain the titled ink carrier which is strong and inexpensive by a method wherein the ink carrier itself is imparted with electrical anisotropy so that an ink is regenerated easily, a high transfer energy efficiency is obtained and a distinct image is obtained. CONSTITUTION:The ink carrier is produced in such a manner that an electroconductive ink is coated on one surface of an ink carrying member 6 comprising an insulating net 2 having electroconductive films 5 formed in electrically insulated meshes of the net 2. With the above structure, an electric current flowing through the electroconductive film 5 in any of the meshes of the net 2 which comes into contact with a needle electrode 8 is prevented from spreading outwardly by the net 2 surrounding the films 5 and flows through a return electrode 9 as it spreads to the films 5 in the other meshes of the net. As a consequence, in this case, heat proportional to the square of the ratio of the surface area of the electrode 8 to that of the electrode 9 is generated at a part 7' of the ink 7 so that the part 7' melts and is transferred to a recording paper P. |
