PURPOSE:To accurately carry out the temperature detection by putting out an illumination lamp when an infra-red ray sensor is employed, in the cooking apparatus in which the illumination lamp and infra-red ray are provided in a heating chamber and the heating action is controlled based on the detected temperature by the infra-red ray sensor. CONSTITUTION:When a power source switch 2 and a cooking switch 3 are turned ON upon cooking, a relay is actuated. Its operational condition is self- maintained by the closure of a contact 4a. Further, by the closure of contacts 4b and 4c, a magnetron 15 operates, and a material to be heated is heated by high-frequency wave emitted from a magnetron 15. Upon this occasion, a control unit 6 does not excites a relay 9 because cooling due to temperature control is set but maintains the open state of a contact 9a to inhibit the power supply to the illumination lamp 10, successively detecting the temperature of the substance to be heated by the infra-red ray sensor 7. When the detection temperature of the infra-red ray sensor 7 reaches a set value, a relay 8 excites and a contact 8a is opened to stop the operation of the relay 4, the cooking being terminated. |
