The ignition coil has a membrane (19), clamped in the housing (10), on which a helical compression spring (20) acts via an intermediate piece (16), the helical compression spring (20) being supported on the base (13) of a membrane housing (12). The entire internal space (35) of the ignition coil is filled by a transformer oil which is under pressure. <IMAGE>
