The filling-stage main tandem brake cylinder (1) has a filling space (14) and two pressure spaces (21 and 33). Each pressure space (21 and 23) is connected to a brake circuit of a vehicle. At the end of the pressure space (21), a control valve (47) is arranged in the housing (2). In the release position of the stepped piston (4), the control valve (47) is held open mechanically against the closing force of the compression spring (51) and connects a refilling tank (not shown in the drawing) to the filling space (14) via the passage (74). The passage (76) connected to the pressure space (21) intersects the passage (74). A sealing sleeve (68) is fastened to the radially outer circumferential surface of the control valve (47).
