PURPOSE:To prevent air noise without lowering the ignition voltage by surrounding only connection part of the ignition plug with high-tension cable by an electroconductive plug cap. CONSTITUTION:A plug cap 11 for shielding is formed by an electroconductive material such as iron. Connection part 9A of the ignition plug 1 with high- tension cable 9 is surrounded by an electroconductive plug cap. This arrangement can give the capacitance between ignition plug 1 and plug cap 11 such a favorable value as 5pF, and the igniting performance can be enhanced much compared with a conventional arrangement. Thus air noise can be prevented without requiring reduction of the igniting performance. |
