<p>PURPOSE:To reduce distortion of an electric field in a field to be measured, by an optical element, and to measure an AC electric field more exactly, by providing a dielectric for bringing a dielectric constant of combination with the optical element close to a dielectric constant of a medium in the field to be measured. CONSTITUTION:A composite optical element 12 is provided in an AC electric field of a field to be measured 9, uses a Pockels element as an optical element 10 in the center part, and has a structure which is pinched by dielectrics 11, 11 whose dielectric constant is different from that of the element 10, from both sides in the direction placed at right angles to the electric field. In this way, it is possible to measure the electric field by reducing distortion of the electric field of the field to be measured 9.</p> |
