PURPOSE:To always horizontally correct a paper sheet of the uppermost layer despite a peculiarity of paper and improve the efficiency of operation in a paper sheet printing machine, by detecting height of each section on an upper side of the paper sheet of the uppermost layer laminated in a bar loaded state and lifting the whole unit of the paper sheet from the lowermost part for a lowered part. CONSTITUTION:A horizontally correcting device 4 is arranged on a pile plate 6 of a feeder 5 of a paper sheet printing machine and constituted by a box shaped supporting bed 7 placed with a bar loaded state paper sheet 1, plural lifting devices 8 consisting of a cylinder mechanism arranged in the inside of the bed 7, and a detector 9 detecting height of each section on an upper side of the paper sheet of the uppermost layer. At operation when a prescribed number of sheets of paper 10 are placed on the bed 7, the plate 6 is lifted to the height capable of feeding the paper sheet. In this way, the detector 9 detects a lowered part in the upper side of the sheet 10 of the uppermost layer, and the cylinder mechanism 14 is operated to the height at a point of time, when flux of light received by each light receiver 22 of the detector 9 is shielded, thus the paper sheet of the uppermost layer is horizontally corrected. |
