PURPOSE:To wipe by a blade in an intermittent driving interval set according to a frictional force by furnishing a frictional force sensor. CONSTITUTION:A frictional force sensor 1 detects a friction between a wiped surface and a blade by attaching a sensor such as a strain gauge to a link system of a wiper, for instance, to detect tension and compression stresses. The output of this frictional force sensor 1 is supplied via an amplifier 2 to a rectification circuit 3 connected to an integration circuit 4. The output of the integration circuit 4 is supplied to a comparison circuit 5 connected to a wiper circuit 6. This construction permits to control the intermittent driving interval of the wiper automatically depending on the amount of rainfall. |
