PURPOSE:To increase the heat collecting area of a solar heat collector by a construction wherein upper and lower walls are supported by support rods fitted inside a glass container. CONSTITUTION:This solar heat collector is constructed by a generally flat, rectangular parallelepiped vacuum glass container 10 in which a heat collector plate 11 is fitted. The glass container 10 comprises a rectangular box-shaped upper container 10a having a transparent, flat plate shaped upper wall 12a and a lower container 10b of the identical shape having a bottom wall 12b, the upper and lower containers 10a and 10b having flange-shaped connecting rims 13a and 13b, respectively formed on the peripheries thereof. The upper container 10a is placed on top of the lower container 10b so that the two components may be sealably interconnected at the rims 13a, 13b. Further, a plurality of support rods 16a, 16b are arranged to project integrally from the inside surfaces of the upper and lower walls 12a and 12b, respectively, at proper space intervals so that they may abut against each other through a heat collector plate 11 whereby forming reinforcing support rods 16. Thus, a rectangular parallelepiped solar heat collector having a high heat collecting capacity can be obtained by a simple method. |
