PURPOSE:To prevent the leakage of molten metal from a casting mold surely by constituting means for supporting and cooling movable beltlike bodies constituting the mold of the 1st supporting and cooling means which are fixed in the positions thereof and the 2nd supporting and cooling means which are movable in the directions where the side plates constituting the mold exist. CONSTITUTION:A casting mold is constituted of a pair of side plates 20A, B of a curved shape which form the wall surfaces on the short sides of an ingot and face each other and a pair of extended belts 3, 4 which move in synchronization with the ingot while grasping the side plates 20A, B forming the wall surfaces on the long sides of the ingot from the inner and outer sides along the curving line. Hydrostatic bearings 10, 11 which support and cool molten copper are provided behind the belts 3, 4. These bearings are made into the split construction, wherein stationary type hydrostatic bearings 30, 31 for setting the reference of the position of the belt 3 and hydrostatic bearings 32 provided at the intermediate of said bearings and movable with respect to the side plates by springs 36 are disposed for the belt 3 and hydrostatic bearings 33, 34, 35 movable by means of the springs 36 are disposed for the belt 4. |
