A vegetable shredder or like comminuting device includes a cover 1 having a feed shaft 2 divided into two shafts a, b of different cross-section by a partition 3 which is removably located in the shaft 2. The partition 3 is slidably received in grooves 4 provided in the feed shaft 2 to be a tight fit therein, the grooves 4 having a terminal abutment to limit the extent to which the partition 3 is inserted and thereby prevent the latter from fouling the rotary cutter. |
