The invention relates to a cleaning device on drawing units of spinning machines. In order, in such a device, to prevent the stripped-off fibre fly from falling back into the drawing unit and onto the yarn, the cleaning element is a plate which so bears with an edge face against the upper roller that the fibre fly stripped off from the face accumulates on the top side of the plate and can be removed from there easily, for example sucked off.
