PURPOSE:To obtain facsimile equipment which controls and processes signals over the whole facsimile equipment including a modem by using two mu-CPUs for reception and transmission. CONSTITUTION:When the facsimile equipment is powered up and in a stand-by state, a mu-CPU side 1A operates to execute a monitor program 3A2. Once the incoming of a ringing tone to an NCU6 is detected by said monitor program, the mu-CPU1A executes a facsimile reception control program 3A3 and a mu- CPU1B starts executing a demodulation program 3B1. This demodulation program 3B1 converts received data into a digital signal through the NCU6 and an A/D converter 8 and the digital signal is inputted to the mu-CPU side 1B through input and output equipment 5B to be demodulated through a DSP2B. The demodulated data is transferred successively to the mu-CPU side 1A, where original facsimile information is reproduced on the basis of the facsimile reception control program 3A3; and the facsimlie information is outputted from the input and output equipment 5A to a printer 9 and recorded thereupon. |
