PURPOSE:To precisely keep a gap between a latent image holding member and a developer carrier even if these elements are irregular circles by opposing the member to the carrier through a spacer. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical developing sleave 1 to be used as the developer carrier and the cylindrical latent image holding member 6 have diameters S1, D1 at image parts and diameters S2, D2 at a nonimage parts respectively. The developing sleave 1 and the latent image holding member 6 are contacted at both the ends, and at the contacted parts, both elements are rotated at an equal peripheral speed in the forward direction, i.e. the same direction. By the constitution of said application, beta=(D2+S2-D1-S1)/2 is formed in respect of the gap beta and r=(D2.S1)/(D1.S2) is expressed in respect of the peripheral speed ratio (r) of the developing sleave 1 to the latent image holding member 6, at the image part. |
