PURPOSE:To simplify the processing of a duplicated part, by driving a solid-state image pickup element array reading a part of picture information of an original duplicatively in preceding by a clock in response to the number of duplicated picture elements to other arrays. CONSTITUTION:A reflected light from an original 1 is formed on CCD arrays 5 and 6 reading a picture of each line with 2-split via lenses 3, 4. An output of the CCD arrays 5, 6 is A/D-converted (7, 8) and stored in memories 9, 10 and 11, 12. When the memories 9, 11 in the write mode, the memories 10, 12 are in the read mode. The CCD array 6 reading a part of the original picture duplicatedly is started earlier than the CCD array 5 by n-clock in response to the number of duplicated picture elements, and when an output signal of the CCD array 5 is effective, the write to the memories 9, 11 is started at the same time. |
