<p>PURPOSE:To detect the presence or absence of abnormality in a molding device accurately before the completion of molding of molds in a molding device which flows compressed air through the inside of the molding sand in the casting mold by providing a transducer for detection of pressure in a cover member in the opening part at the top end of a molding flask. CONSTITUTION:Compressed air is introduced into a cover member 9 by opening and closing of a valve 22 and is supplied to the top surface of the molding sand on a pattern plate 5, from which the air is passed successively through the sand and vent holes 4, 4 to increase the packing density of the sand, whereby a mold is molded. Here a pressure transducer 15 is provided in the wall part of the member 9, and the change in the pressure in the member 9 is detected continuously with said transducer. The result thereof is compared with the normal pressure stored in a device 18 and is operated with a device 16. If there is abnormality as a result of the operation, a stop command is transmitted by a control device 17 to the molding device to stop the molding device in emergency and to sound a buzzer.</p> |
