PURPOSE:To smoothly separate a form, by placing a separating and carrying body so that a high resistance layer is opposed to a form contacting with a photosensitive body, in a state that prescribed charge is given to the high resistance layer and also a low resistance layer is grounded, separating the form from the photosensitive body by Coulomb force, and making it adhere to the high resistance layer of the separating and carrying body. CONSTITUTION:A separating and carrying body 53 consists of a high resistance layer 53a whose volume specific resistance is >=10<12>OMEGAcm, and a low resistance layer 53b formed on its one surface, whose volume specific resistance is <=10<8>OMEGAcm. In a state that charge of the high resistance layer 53a is set to ''0'' and the potential of the low resistance layer 53b is grounded, or charge is given to the high resistance layer 53a and also the low resistance layer 53b is grounded, the separating and carrying body 53 is placed so that the high resistance layer 53 is opposed to a form 3 contacting with a photosensitive body 1, the form 3 is separated from the photosensitive body 1 by Coulomb force of charge of an electrostatic latent image of the photosensitive body 1, charge of the form 3 and charge of the separating and carrying body 53, is made to adhere to the separating and carrying body 53, and also the form is carried by this separating and carrying body 53. |
