PURPOSE:To perform a fuel cut and exhaust port shut with a single operation and prevent a secondary accident of a vehicle, by connecting a device actuating an exhaust brake and a device actuating a fuel out device of a fuel pump to a common control device. CONSTITUTION:A safety device of a vehicle comprises an exhaust brake valve 6 and fuel cut lever 12. If the driver depresses a pedal 7 in case of emergency, an air control valve 3 is opened to flow pressureized air into a control cylinder 4 and actuate the valve 6. While a control rod 8 is moved downward to actuate a fuel cut lever 12 of a fuel pump 11 through a link lever 9 and cable 10. In this way, emission of high temperature exhaust to the outside is prevented while fuel can be cut, and a secondary accident can be prevented. |
