<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a high-voltage divider for an impulse voltage, etc., which has good responding characteristics to a steep waveform by varying a resistance value distribution of high resistance on an electric path side applied with a voltage to be measured according to a voltage distribution of floating capacitance voltage division. CONSTITUTION:The voltage divider is arranged vertically and composed of a columnar high resistance 7 having a voltage application point 1 at its top end, a low resistance 4 for measurement connected in series to the lower end of the resistance 7 through a voltage drop measurement terminal 3, a grounding frame 5 which mounts the resistance 4 and is connected to the earth potential, and an electrostatic shield 6 provided near the top end of the resistance 2. Between X=0 corresponding to the application point 1 and X=1 corresponding to the terminal 3, a voltage distribution determined only by floating capacitance on the resistance 7 is as shown by a curve VC, and the resistance R1 of the resistance 7 is set approximately stepwise to a resistance distribution -deltaVc/deltax. Consequently, a voltage distribution VR1 is proportional to the voltage distribution Vc depending upon only the floating capacitance, obtaining high responding characteristics to abrupt variation in impulse voltage.</p> |
