PURPOSE:To reduce both the time and a trouble for process of replacement of PLU (price look-up) files, by providing a temporary file that controls only the changed component of the PLU file. CONSTITUTION:An information is needed for the replacement of PLU files when a quick change is given to the PLU file in order to refer to the code name, price, etc. of an article. In this case, a POS control center produces a PLU changing data file into a temporary file 3. This data file is fed to all POS terminal devices 5 via a communication lines. The device 5 stores the received PLU changing data file into the file 3. In such a way, a PLU changing process can be performed quickly by performing a communication process of the PLU changing data by an amount equivalent to the changed data. |
