Interest in a device for saving heating energy increases with increasing shortage of the primary energy sources. In order, on the one hand, to permit individual control of the heating medium throughput of individual heaters while on the other hand requiring only a minimum outlay on devices and installations, it is proposed to provide in the heating medium circuit of each heater in addition to a thermostat valve set to a relatively high room temperature a thermostat valve set to a relatively low room temperature and fitted with a bypass valve which can be opened and closed by a solenoid valve that is, for its part, controlled by a time switch. If the time switch opens the bypass valve, the thermostat valve set to the relatively high room temperature is active, while if the bypass valve is closed by the time switch the thermostat valve set to the relatively high room temperature can no longer exert an influence. The control of the flow of heating medium is, rather, taken over by the thermostat valve set to the relatively low room temperature, to which valve the bypass valve is assigned.

|
