PURPOSE:To obtain a high-quality picture free from density unevenness, by constituting a layer-thickness control means with at least two-layer structure in the pressing direction and making the modulus of elasticity of the layer on the side which is abutted against a developing agent carrying body thinner than that of the other layer. CONSTITUTION:Since a layer 50a on a side abutted against a developing roller 39 is formed of a layer having the small modulus of elasticity, the layer 50a has an excellent contacting property to the developing agent 33 on the developing roller 39. The other side of layer 50b is formed of a layer having the high modulus of elasticity and presses the developing roller 39. Therefore, the angle thetaformed by the surface of the developing agent 33 and the surface of a blade 50 abutted against the surface of the agent 33 can be made larger and the standing of the developing agent 33 between the roller 39 and blade 50 can be reduced. Moreover, the occurrence of condensed developing agent can be reduced and the developing agent 33 can be controlled to a uniform prescribed thickness. Accordingly, a high-quality picture which is free from density unevenness can be obtained. |
