PURPOSE:To prolong the durability of a flexible conductor laminated with thin sheets forming a conductive path in a DC resistance welding machine by connecting the conductive path of said conductor in such a way that one end part thereof is connected on the inner side and the other end on the outer side, to flow a current uniformly. CONSTITUTION:An upper conductor 1 and an upper platen 2 in a DC resistance welding machine are connected by a flexible conductor 3 laminated with thin sheets. Here, the inside surface side B in one end part of the conductor 3 is connected to the conductor 1, and in the other end part the outside surface side A' is connected to the platen 2. With the conductor 3, the conductor resistance values from the surface A' to the surface B and from the surface A to the surface B' are equal and since electric current flows at uniform current density in the conductor 3, the evolution of heat in the conductor is uniform over the entire part, and the conductor is designed with a min. of sectional area. The life of the conductor 3 is prolonged. |
