An apparatus for opening and emptying liquid filled packages, in actuality urine packages, consists partly of a case (1) with a number of upwardly open compartments (2) to receive the packages, and partly a mechanism associated with each compartment, which makes a hole in the package in that compartment. Each separate hole making mechanism consists of a knife (8) designed so that, with the aid of a linkage (12) common to all the knives, it moves through a slot or slot-like opening (6) in the bottom of the compartment to cut a hole in the package.<IMAGE> |
