PURPOSE:To facilitate the installation of a speed-reducing reversing apparatus at its bottom and to eliminate agitation of oil by driving gears, by forming an oil sump at an upper wall section of the case of the apparatus so that oil collected at the bottom can be carried back to the oil sump. CONSTITUTION:On the inside of an upper case 12 of a case 11 for a speed-reducing reversing apparatus, an oil sump 31 isolated from a power transmitting section 28 is formed between a horizontally extended partition wall 29 and the top wall 30 of the upper case 12. The oil sump 31 is shaped to have a relatively large width so that the gear noises produced by the power transmitting section 28 are not released to the above. Here, since the inlet port of a suction pump 32 is connected to the bottom of a lower case 14 via an external piping 33a and the outlet port of the pump 32 is connected to the oil sump 31 via an external piping 33b, oil collected at the bottom can be carried back to the oil sump 31, so that accumulation of oil in the lower casing 14 can be prevented. |
