PURPOSE:To obtain an either polarity chargeable electrophotographic light sensitive material capable of forming a high-density image even in high humidity, by forming a photoconductive layer contg. a specified amt. of acetylacetone manganese or Mn benzoate incorporated with ZnO treated under heating with H2S. CONSTITUTION:ZnO powder is treated with H2S in presence or absence of gaseous NH3 and a ZnS layer is formed on the obtained surface of said ZnO powder. A photoconductive coating material is prepared contg. 100pts.wt. said ZnO powder, 0.05-8pts.wt. acetylacetone manganese or Mn benzoate, and a small amt. of sensitizing dye. The surface of a pigment-coated paper, coated with a polymeric electrolyte on the reverse side, is coated with this coating material, and dried, thus permitting the obtained electrophotographic light sensitive material to be charged to either polarity, retained high in image density even in high humidity, and to form a sharp image. |
