A chair, for example an office arm-chair, comprises a frame of metal section with bands or strips 40, 42 extending between the two sides of the frame, and a removable covering having pockets at the ends thereof. The frame includes a first bent section element 12, which forms both sides 16 of an arm-chair back, arm rest parts 18 and a first base crosspiece 22, and a second bent section element 14 which forms the seat sides and inclines to a second base crosspiece 30; the two elements are joined to each other at an intermediate position 32 thereof and also by a gusset plate 34 at the bottom crosspieces thereof; the gusset plate provides for the mounting of a base or support. <IMAGE> |
