PURPOSE:To obtain a voltage of integer times of twice of superconductor energy gap and to enable to be reset to zero voltage by forming square superconductive polycrystalline thin film having Josephson junction in the grain boundary on a substrate, forming a gate terminal and a control terminal at the opposing sides, and controlling a current which flows through the control terminal while flowing a current higher than the maximum Josephson current at the gate terminal. CONSTITUTION:A thin film such as BaPb1-xBixO3 (0.1<x<=0.35) is formed by a sputtering method on a substrate 1, is heated at 500-650 deg.C in air or O2, and is held for 3-12hr, thereby forming a square superconductor polycrystalline thin film 2 having Josephson junction in the grain boundary. Then, electrode terminals 3 and 3', 4 and 4' are mounted at the opposite sides of the film 2 in such a manner that the current to the terminals 4, 4' is controlled while flowing the current higher than the maximum Josephson current at the terminals 3, 3'. In this manner, a latching and non-latching states are freely controlled. |
