PURPOSE:To obtain a seamless product by a simplified production process by cutting mettalic fine wires knit in a cylindrical shape to a fixed length and by compressing and molding the cylindrical material to form a helical corrugated supporter. CONSTITUTION:A metallic cylindrical mesh is cut to a fixed length at a right angle to the knit direction and is prepared as a raw material Y to be worked. Then, a lift 8 rises, an inner mold 11 is shrinked by the spring force of a binding spring 13, an outer mold 5 is kept expanded outward, and the raw material Y is coupled with the inner mold 11 divided into split patterns. When the lift 8 is descended and an expansion/shrinkage operating lever 16 is descended so that the taper face 14 of the inner mold 11 is depressed by a circular section 16a, thus the inner mold 11 is expanded and at the same time individual split patterns 5a, 5b of the outer mold 5 are moved toward the center to compress the raw material Y in the radial direction, and furthermore a presser 17 is descended to compress the raw material Y in the axial direction. |
