PURPOSE:To provide a titled welding wire which provides excellent welding workability when used in a shielding gas contg. Ar, and by which weld metal exhibiting high toughness is obtained at relatively low welding post heat treatment temp. by contg. C, Si, Mn, Cu, Cr, Mo, P and S respectively at prescribed ratios and consisting of the balance Fe. CONSTITUTION:A wire for welding of Cr-Mo heat resisting steel contg. 0.04- 0.12% C, 0.60-1.30% Si, 0.50-1.30% Mn, <=0.40% Cu, 0.80-1.60% Cr, 0.40- 0.70% Mo, contg. <=0.025% P, and <=0.025% Si, and consisting of the balance mainly Fe. This welding wire is used with Ar and 2-15% O2 or Ar and 5-30% gaseous CO2 as shielding gases. When Cr-Mo heat resisting steel is welded by a narrow groove welding by using such welding wire, the welding workability with which the arc in the groove is stable, spatters are less produced and slag is peeled well is exhibited. |
