PURPOSE:To improve the linearity to the scanning direction and easily compensate the unevenness in the scanning speed, by using a guide frame, on which a timing mark is installed. CONSTITUTION:It is arranged that a required part of picture information 11 drawn on an original 10 is brought in a guide frame 20, and the part is scanned by a hand scanner 30. The information 11 read by the scanning is transferred to a reading device 40. In this case, a timing mark part (b) installed on the lower surface of the guide frame 20 is also read as a part of a picture information part (a) when the area of the picture information part (a) in the guide frame 20 is read by an image sensor 32. At the reading device 40, the read information 11 is corrected in distortion according to the timing mark information. In this way, a linearity can be given to the scanning direction and, at the same time, distortions in the information 11 caused by uneven scanning speeds is compensated. |
