The device has a control unit (9) with a calculating unit for calculating a parasitic torque generated on an input shaft (26) in real time. The unit (9) subtracts or adds the torque from/with a calculated optimum torque provided by an electrical machine (4) to provide torque set points to internal independent controllers (92-95) during change in upshift or downshift speed ratio. The controllers control regulation of torque of respective elements such as heat engine (2), clutch (3), the machine and automatically controlled gearbox (5), of an electric traction chain (1).
