PLATINUM GROUP METAL CONTAINING ALLOY

摘要

Platinum group metal-cantaining alloys are described in particular nickel-chromium based gamme prime alloys consisting in percentages by weight (apart from impurities) of aluminum (4 to 13.5%), chromium (trace to 6%), one or more metals of the platinum group (trace to 20% total) and balance nickel. The alloys possess good corrosion resistance at elevated temperatures in excess of 900.degree.C, and are useful for the fabrication of parts for use in the glass industry and in the aero-engine industry concerned with jet engines and gas turbines.
