PURPOSE:To balance the armature currents, by separately detecting the armature currents of a DC motor, and controlling the field current of the DC motor in response to the difference current between the detected armature currents. CONSTITUTION:The armature currents of the DC motor are separately detected by current sensors CS1 and CS2. The polarity of the difference current (I2-I1) between the detected armature currents is determined based on the output of a rotary direction detecting device DET for the DC motor. Thereafter, based on the added result of a reference voltage REF supplied from the outside, a field control circuit FC1 operates so as to increase the field current, and a field control circuit FC2 operates so as to increase the field current. As a result, the counter electromotive voltage of the DC motor having the armature MA1 increases, and the counter electromotive voltage of the DC motor having the armature MA2 decreases. Therefore, the armature current I1 is decreased and the armature current I2 is increased. As a result, both armature currents are balanced with each other. |
