PURPOSE:To give wear resistance and rigidity to the material of a pin made of a wear resistive steel material having tenacity by vaporizably depositing a carbide, nitride or carbonitride of IVa, Va or VIa group of the periodic law table or Al2O3 on the surface of the pin at a temperature lower than its annealing temperature. CONSTITUTION:As the material of the main body of a pin, one of such materials as highspeed steel, tool steel, alloy tool steel, bearing steel or a similar wear resistive steel having tenacity is used. On the surface of the material, a coating consists of a carbide, nitride, carbonitride of IVa, Va or VIa groups of the periodic law table, or alumina is formed by chemical vaporization deposition or physical vaporization deposition. |
