PURPOSE:To prevent the useless power consumption of the scroll type compressor upon a low load by a method wherein a groove for a seal member is formed at the end face of the scroll body of a scroll member and a path introducing a pressurized fluid thereto through a control valve is provided. CONSTITUTION:A communicating hole 36 is communicated with the communicating hole 37 by operating the valve 38 by a control unit 39. The high pressure fluid, being introduced into the groove 32 of the seal member, is flowed to a low pressure side L through the communicating holes 36, 37. The seal member 34 is floating upper than the seal member groove 32 between A and B and is pushed against the disc 242 of the scroll member 24 opposing thereto, while the seal member 34 is adhered to the bottom of the seal member grooove 32 between A and C. Fluid in a small chamber 3b leaks out of the small chamber through a clearance c between the end face of the scroll body 252 and the disc 241 as shown by an arrow sign, therefore, the useless power consumption of the scroll type compressor upon the low load may be prevented. |
