In the hobbock made of thermoplastic, the closure lid (1) is secured in the closure position by a clamping ring closure. In this case, the lid lies with a horizontal upper edge flange (2) via an annular sealing projection (16) against the edge flange (8) of the outer surface of the hobbock disposed in the same direction. An inner edge (3) adjoining the upper edge flange of the lid lies against the outer surface of the hobbock. In order that the sealing function is increased under stacking load and yielding movements of the regions involved in the sealing are ruled out, the upper edge flange (2) of the lid (1) is widened over the inner edge (3) and merges, after an inner bend (14), into the lid bottom (4), the bend (14) running out into a support ring (5) projecting beyond the lid bottom. The inner edge (3) of the lid, the support ring (5) and the lid bottom (4) are connected to one another via radial webs (6) to form a box support. The end (7) of the upper edge which is bent downwards at a right angle hooks into a corresponding annular cut-out in the edge flange (8) of the hobbock. <IMAGE>
