PURPOSE:To supply a inexpensive and highly reliable printing material using lesser parts than the conventional printers and taking shorter selecting time. CONSTITUTION:At the time of waiting, the back 13-6 of a selection lever 13 is supported by a coupling plate 14 which turns in the direction of arrow H and regulates the sliding in the direction of J. In the selection process, a type wheel 3 turns in the direction of F, and when a desired type 1 comes to a printing position, a signal is put in a coil 18, an iron core 17 is excited, a larger torque than that of a selection spring 16 is applied to the selection lever 13, and the selection lever 13 is turned toward the direction of arrow I. The tip of the selection lever 13 enters the locus of a ratchet 2 to stop the type wheel 3. Suction time is selection time and the time is thus shorter. The tip 13-5 of the selection lever 13 is held at the printing position of a desired type 1 by setting up the length T of a projection 13-1, the peripheral aperture R between the tip 13-5 and the ratchet 2, and the position of the coupling plate 14, and then transferred to a resetting process. |
