PURPOSE:To enable knocking to be accurately detected by obtaining a basic value for judging whether or not the knocking occurs from average vibration in a no knocking period. CONSTITUTION:A predetermined crank angle range presumed not to generate knocking vibration is detected by a reference angle sensor 30 and a rotational angle sensor 40. When the rotational angle of an internal combustion engine enters this crank angle range, signals of a knocking sensor 50 is averaged. This average value is used for a reference vibration for judging whether or not the knocking occurs. Thus, the knocking can be accurately detected. |
