PRODUCTION FOR PIEZOELECTRIC ELECTRO-ACOUSTIC TRANSDUCER

PURPOSE:To obtain an electro-acoustic transducer which has the reliability enhanced and is superior in acoustic characteristic, by sticking temporarily a ring- shaped metallic thin plate to a pizeoelectric base material and electroforming a metallic layer on this base material to constitute a bimorph oscillator. CONSTITUTION:Electrodes 121 and 122 are provided on both faces of a disc- shaped ceramic piezoelectric base material 11 by electroless nickel plating, printing of a silver paste, or the like and are subjected to the polarization treatment. This piezoelectric base material 11 is connected concentrically to a ring-shaped metallic thin plate 13 which has an outside diameter larger than the diameter of the base material 11 and has an inside diameter slightly smaller than this diameter. After making the piezoelectric base material 11 and the metallic thin plat 13 into one body, a metallic layer 14 having a required thickness is formed on the face of the metallic thin plate 13 opposite to the piezoelectric base material 11 and the face of the electrode 122 exposed to the part of the hole of the metallic thin plate 13 by the electroforming method.
